Here is a list of edits that will and will not break the Power BI report you tied the form to.
EDITS THAT WON'T BREAK YOUR REPORT
You can:
- Change sequence of the Form Fields within the form
- Change the Form Folder designation
- Add new Form Fields to existing form
EDITS THAT WILL BREAK YOUR REPORT
Changing any of these options will require you to relink the data to the report:
- Modifying name of the Form
- Change wording in a multiple choice option if that is being used to extract certain values in the report
- Removing an existing question that is being used in the report
- Changing or Removing the field label
CAUTION FOR ITEMS 3&4
This will also affect historical data for that particular field column on the Form Reports page. The column will be lost and can only be recovered if the field label is reverted back to the original or the field is added back to the Form.
Keeping in mind, there will be some submissions made between that time-frame, in which, that data will be lost. Note: Data will be lost only for that particular column not everything.
