What happens when I “Archive” a Process Template?

An Archived Process Template is deleted, however the data captured is not deleted and can be accessed.

Administrators can Archive Process Templates if they wish. This is helpful to declutter your Process Builder section. However, the Process Template cannot be “Unachieved”.

When you Archive a Process Template you are essentially deleting the Process Template. However, the elements of that Process Template will not be lost including:

  1. Form submitted as part of a Process Template Instance (a “Live Process”) will not be deleted. They can be found in the Form Reports section.
  2. Process Instances that are Live and Closed can be found in the Process Reports section.
  3. Live Processes can still be found in the Live Processes section until they are closed.

Only Archive the template if you wish to delete it from the Process Builder section. If you are not sure if you will ever require the template again, you can “pause” the template, which will remove it from the “Live Processes” view, but you will still have access the Process Template in the future.

And that's it! Now you know what happens when you Archive a Process Template.
